What do I do if my question is not answered on this page?

You can submit your question at the Contact Us page. We will answer your question and update this page as well.

In order to participate in the Penn Foster programs, do I have to register my student in the public school system? OR, does Penn Foster work completely separate from the public school system - like a private school?

Penn Foster is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.

Of course, you should follow you local or state laws and requirements. If necessary, you should get the Penn Foster course approved to be sure it satisfies those requirements.

Does the price for a course cover an entire school year, or just a semester?

A full school year -- 36 course weeks. The courses have fall (A) and spring (B) sections, each good for a half credit. The full 36 week course is good for a full credit.

How does the Penn Foster Virtual High School compare with Gen Ed?

Virtual High School is designed for college prep, is aligned to national standards, supported by certified teachers, and has more hours.
