Today, the Navy League Foundation has a total of 4 endowed, four-year $10,000 scholarships (2500 per year). The Foundation also awards several one-year scholarships on behalf of other military and civilian foundations, and Navy League Councils across the United States provide additional scholarships to students and Sea Cadets in their cities and regions.

*The Navy League Foundation administers several scholarships with donor-designated preferences. For the Planning Systems Incorporated Science and Engineering Scholarship, preference will be given (1) to a direct dependent or a direct descendant of sea service personnel who will seek a degree in science or engineering; (2) dependent or direct descendant of an individual who is currently serving, or who has honorably served, in the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard. If you are applying for this scholarship, please indicate so in the top right hand corner of the application.

These scholarships are for dependents and direct descendants of sea service personnel.
Part I: Elligibility
Each eligible candidate will be considered for all available scholarships. Those applicants applying for a specific scholarship should indicate this in Box A at the top of their application.
To be eligible for a Navy League Foundation Scholarship, applicants must :
Be a United States citizen.
Be a dependant or direct descendant of an active, reserve, retired or honorably discharged member of the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, U.S.--Flag Merchant Marine, Marine Corps or U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
Have completed final year High School or equivalent during 2007-2008 school year.
Entering an accredited College/University.
Part II
Application: All component parts of the application must be completed and sent in one package. The committee will not consider incomplete applications. Illegible applications will not be reviewed. Type or print clearly.

You may include up to TWO additional sheets to list scholastic/extracurricular activities. Your application package must also include the following :
All applicable transcripts (grade 9 through present)
Up to TWO recommendations
SAT/ACT scores
FAFSA information (including parents’ AGI and EFC)
Proof of qualifying sea service duty (discharge papers, military/dependants ID, etc)
One-page personal statement answering “Why I should be considered for a Navy League Foundation Scholarship.
