Lenawee County: Allen H. & Nydia Meyers Foundation Scholarship

Description:

The goal of the Foundation is to provide early financial support for young men and women interested in post secondary education for aeronautic or scientific careers. Applicants will be evaluated on academic purpose, character, leadership qualities, goals, work habits and scholastic standing.
Eligibility - All applicants must submit a complete application package by the stipulated deadline as indicated on the application forms in order to be considered. Application is limited to students residing in a Lenawee County School District and graduating from a Lenawee County High School, planning college studies in the sciences and allied fields, and having grades permitting college entrance.
There is also a requirement that the applicant have knowledge of the origins and purpose of the Meyers Foundation at the interview. The Meyers Foundation history is available at www.meyersfoundation.org.
Other Considerations - Present policy is to award "starter grants" to selected applicants. Awards are made once to any individual and are only renewable under unusual circumstances.
There are a variable number of scholarships and grants awarded each year.
