| Redwood City, CA -- September 12, 2010 -- The Homeschool Buyers Co-op, a leader in discount homeschool curriculum, has just completed their homeschool summer fun reading program. Matthew B. age 8, of Greensboro, NC won an Apple iPad for time spent reading the “Story of the World, Volume 1” by Susan Wise Bauer this summer. The homeschool reading program was a huge success with over 800 homeschooling families participating. Each child was invited to read during the summer and parents logged the amount of time on the Homeschool Buyer’s Co-op website. The incentive program was developed for elementary, middle and high school level homeschooled students. Along with winning the Apple iPad, children had the opportunity to win their pick from the “Treasure Chest” containing other prizes donated by other homeschooling families. Collectively, participants logged 27,417 hours of reading."Thank you to all of the participants who made this summer fun homeschool reading program a great success. We have helped keep students engaged and reading over the summer months, making them better prepared for this upcoming school year,” said Brett Walter, President of Homeschool Buyers Co-op.
