| A visit to Wendell August is an experience you won’t soon forget. Since 1923, Wendell August has pioneered the artistry of creating unique hand-hammered metal giftware. Today, Grove City is home to the nation’s oldest and largest forge still in operation. Guests to our facility can watch as skilled artisans and craftsmen create one-of-a-kind metal giftware in aluminum, solid bronze, copper, fine pewter and sterling silver. |

 | | Kimberly E., Co-op Member | | This was an awesome field trip for our group. They took us thru the shop and showed us how they hammered out the designs. At the end of the tour the kids (and moms!) got to hammer out a design on a foil sheet that they got to take home with them. Really cool! Unfortunately, their original building caught fire and burned a little over a year ago. They are up and running in temporary quarters and are looking at rebuilding, probably in a different location. I would call ahead and make sure they are still offering tours before I made the trip. |
