Although this zoo is on a smaller scale compared to the zoo in Washington, D.C., it has more than enough variety of animals to educate and thrill your whole family. The Africa section with elephants and giraffes is our families favorite, as well as the reptile/amphibian building filled with all kinds of snakes, lizards, and poison dart frogs. It is beautifully designed with fun things to do throughout the zoo. Highly recommend a visit! Our family goes at least twice every year.

I have taken my boy here a couple of times and he always enjoys it. Unlike a lot of huge zoos, you can get fairly close to the animals and since it's smaller it's easy for the little kids to walk.

This is a smaller zoo, but has plenty of animals to see and learn about. It's one of my children's favorite places to visit. They recently opened a new addition, Trail of the Tiger, which is now the largest exhibit area of the zoo. There are many new animals such as tapirs, orangutans and the 2 new Malayan Tigers. Lots of fun for the whole family.
