USS Potomac - The Presidential Yacht

Description:

More than 80,000 people have visited and sailed aboard former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's beloved "Floating White House," the USS Potomac, since it opened to the public in the summer of 1995. $5 million has been spent over a 12-year period to restore the 165-foot-long vessel as a memorial to the president who authored the New Deal and led the United States during the Great Depression and the World War II years.

History Cruises
2-Hour Historic Cruises on San Francisco Bay are held from May to November on alternating weeks on Saturday and Thursday. All cruises depart Jack London Square at 11 am. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time for check in.

We went a few years ago when we were studying US History. My son was trilled to be on a yaht that a president used. He even sat where the president sat.
