| USS KIDD Veterans Memorial |
| The USS Kidd is a fully restored WW II destroyer. You are able to walk on all of the decks and find yourself transported back in time while exploring the historical vessel. You are able to learn what life was like aboard the vessel and why the USS KIDD does not float in the water approximately six months out of the year. The vessel is the only US ship approved to fly the Jolly Roger Flag. The Veterans Memorial Museum is adjacent to the ship which has a full scale "Old Ironside" gundeck along with a large ship model collection. The museum also has a Flying Tiger and a Corsair aircraft. The museums collection is not limited to WWII, but focuses on all eras. The self guided tour takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours. |
