Description:

Turtle Bay Exploration Park is a sprawling 300-acre campus filled with educational and entertaining activities all focused on the interpretation of the relationship between humans and nature. Spanning the Sacramento River and linked by the Sundial Bridge, the Park tells the story of the region and its people.

We live about 150 miles from Turtle Bay. We've made week-end trips up to Redding just to come back to this musuem. This was my son's favorite place place from age 3-10. He loved the logging town play area the best. I liked the butterfly exhibit. My son liked that you could see the roots of the tree. It's a place that we went to 2-3 times a year, if it was closer we'd been more often.
