| Tsongas Industrial History Museum |
| Part of the Lowell National Historical Park, The Tsongas Industrial History Museum offers tours, field trips, and adult classes at the Lowell Boott Museum. There are classes on how cloth was made, how an assembly line works, inventions, etc. The field trip programs are very hands-on. The Boott Museum is a trip back into 19th century Industrial Revolution Era Lowell, MA with exhibits and audio-visual presentations, even a "weave room" with dozens of looms clacking away to demonstrate the conditions that the workers endured. There is also a tour of a boarding house that the "Mill Girls" lived in when they left home to work in the mills. |
