| Description: | Located in Norfolk's restored 1850 city hall, the memorial traces the life and military career of General of the Army Douglas MacArthur and honors those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Highlights include military artifacts, photographs, documents, paintings, memorabilia, the general's trademark cap, sunglasses and corncob pipe, plus his 1950 Chrysler Crown Imperial limousine. The memorial also features a separate theater, special exhibit galleries and a historical research center. |
