 | | A. Quay, Co-op Member | The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art was created with all ages in mind. The size of the museum is small enough to take in what it has to offer in a few hours but the atmosphere is relaxed enough that you can stay all day if you like. It provides opportunities for adults to enjoy the exhibits of Eric Carle's art as well as other picture book artists. It also contains an exhibit of picture book covers from the 19th century allowing you to examine how the art (as well as the stories) have changed.
The art room allows visitors of all ages to be creative with materials the museum provides. Families can relax and read in the library which contains numerous picture books from around the world.
The museum also occasionaly presents plays in its theatre and provides workshops (for a fee) for those interested in learning more about picture book art. |
