| Facility: | The Eleutheros Cooke House and Garden |
| Description: | The Eleutheros Cooke House was built by Sandusky's first lawyer and the father of Jay Cooke, the financier of the civil war, in 1843-1844. Only three other families have lived here in its long history. The last owners were Randolph and Estelle Dorn, who purchased the house in the early 1950's and completely redecorated it. It remains much as it looked when the Dorns lived here. |
