Current Park Hours: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm. Hours are adjusted seasonally.
Liberty and Ellis Islands are open daily except December 25th.
Highest visitation occurs during the months of June through September. Visitation can be high during holiday and weekend periods throughout the year. Please note that visitors choosing to arrive on the final ferry departure from mainland will need to choose one island to visit. Time constraints late in the day will not permit to visit both sites. Also consider ferry transportation time when planning your trip.
For further information on hours of operation, please call the park's information line at: (212) 363-3200. The ferry company posts schedules on-line at: www.statuecruises.com |

 | | Amy and Will E., Co-op Member | | Even if you miss the last ferry to the islands from the mainland, the trip is not entirely lost. Take the Staten Island Ferry for free. When you arrive on Staten Island, you will have to disembark and enter the terminal area to catch the ferry back to the mainland. You will be able to tour the harbour and take great photos of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This is also a great option for those travelling with small children. |
