Facility:Southdown Plantation House
Description:Southdown Plantation House is a 19th-century sugar manor house and home to the Terrebonne Museum of history and culture. It was built in 1859 as a one-story Greek Revival house by sugar planter William J. Minor.

Entrance to the museum is by escorted tour only (see times above). Allow 1 hour for guided tour. Recommended 1.5 hours for total visit. Self-guided written tours and French written tours may be offered, subject to availability.

Hours:Open Tuesday-Saturday 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. Tours begin every hour; last tour begins at 3 P.M. Closed Sunday, Monday, December 31 & January 1, Mardi Gras Day, Good Friday, July 4, Thanksgiving, December 24 & 25. Other holiday hours may vary.
