| Description: | Sheldon Centre is a residential outdoor education school with a strong focus on Ontario's pioneer heritage. The site's living history component is based on local Sheldon history. The collection includes pre-electric rural agricultural tools and implements, both artifacts and reproductions, which students use to saw and split wood, bake in a wood stove, card, spin and weave, garden and do farm chores. Students also tour the local sites and compare their urban life with life in rural old Ontario. |
