| Description: | 2400 Acres of outdoor fun. 14 miles of hiking trails through a wide variety of Missouri ecosystems. Self guided maps and backpacks can be picked up at the visitor center. Or you can sign up for one of their many educational classes. A new Nature Explore Classroom was just built and an authentic tipi and sod house are located in the prairie. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day outside. A labelled Wildflower garden is a bonus! |

| Hours: | Year round from 7 am untill sunset. Visitor Center hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays and 9 to 5 on weekends. The Bascom House is open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Sunday. The Nature Reserve is open to hikers every day, but the Visitor Center and Bascom House are closed on some major holidays. |
