Facility:Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill
Description:Discover America's largest restored Shaker community, where a remarkable society once flourished and where today, you can experience a true Kentucky treasure.

The village contains 34 original buildings and 3000 acres of land. Self-guided tour with crafts demonstrations and seasonal special events. Solo performance of Shaker music offered April-October. Forty miles of hiking and horseback riding trails. Homeschool programs offered in spring and fall, including naturalist-led activities. Riverboat cruises on the Kentucky River offered May through October. The Inn at Shaker Village has 81 hotel rooms where you can stay where the Shakers once lived and worked. Restaurant serves regional and Shaker dishes. Two craft stores offer regional crafts.
