| Description: | Escape to a unique urban oasis of extraordinary beauty. Enjoy the San Francisco Botanical Garden's world of gardens, excellent horticulture library, bookstore, and education programs. Offering tours for elementary and high school classes in subjects ranging from a child's First Look at Plants to Plant Evolution. Summer Day Camp offers groups from daycare, latchkey, and recreation center programs to attend a full day in the Children's Garden, learning about nature and helping plant flowers and vegetables. Free Story Time in the Library, especially suitable for ages 4-8, usually on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 10:30 am. Docent-led walks for school children; children and family activities; children's garden summer program and year-round gardening/ecology activities. |
