We visited the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library one year ago and it was a highlight of our frequent trips to CA sites. We had previously visited the Richard Nixon Birthplace and Library, the FDR Library, and the JFK Library and had a good time so we were just adding this one on to our list. However, we were awed by the nature of this wonderful set of galleries and exhibits. First of all, there is something for everyone. For my husband, me, and my older son, there was a great deal of in-depth history and examination of foreign policy in the 70s and 80s. I can attest to the fact that curious minds of any political persuasion would find the information fascinating and pretty unbiased. For our youngest son there was plenty of graphics and easy to digest information as well as a wing with Air Force One...to walk through! Wow! The setting in the Simi Valley looking over the hills is breathtaking and you can visualize the Reagans on their horses and see how the optimistic smile on Reagan's face would be reinforced by this majestic beauty. We will continue to seek out presidential birthplaces and libraries but tihs one would be hard to top.

My kids had a great time here. The exhibits are interesting and kept their attention long enough for me to feel like they digested some of what we were learning. We had a very nice discussion about assinations after the video presentation of the attempt on Pres. Reagan. MY kids are 4,6,8 and 10. Air force One and the helliocopter in the hanger were by far the coolest to them! Beautiful Grounds for a picnic too!
