| History comes to life on a 19th Century farmstead. Period dressed Family Guides re-enact the life of the original Pennsylvania German farming family who lived on the farm from 1780 to 1913. Quiet Valley offers different programs throughout the year such as a Summer Tour Program, Farm Animal Frolic, Harvest Festival, Old Time Christmas, Farm Hand Adventure, and School House Experience. |

 | | B. Hargett, Co-op Member | | I think all children should get the opportunity to step back in time to the days that are long since gone. Quiet Valley gives you the opportunity to do just that. As you walk from place to place, the friendly staff shares their thoughts and activities, explaining what they are doing as they card the wool, and pointing to the loom with a half finished project on it. The outdoor oven is being loaded with bread cooked on stones, and the house is bustling with activity of the kind our children may have never experienced. There is a general atmosphere of hard work and cheerfulness that models these needed character issues. The animals are fun, the air is fresh and wholesome, and the day spent at Quiet Valley ranks high in the memories of the children as the years pass. |
