Facility:Prudence Crandall Museum
Description:Operated by Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism! The Prudence Crandall Museum is the site of the first school for African American young women in New England (1833-34). The school was established by Prudence Crandall, State Heroine. The museum has period rooms, permanent and changing exhibits on a variety of topics, in-house research library, and museum shop.
