Description:The Parson Thorne Mansion, built between 1730 and 1735, was once home to Milford's founder, Parson Sydenham Thorne, was the childhood home of Delaware statesman John M. Clayton, and the home of Gov. William Burton. The brick home is unusual, having undergone a transformation in architecture from Colonial, to Georgian, to Victorian during its history.
