| Description: | When you get to the site you'll see an icon menu featuring lessons, activities, dialogues, mini books, games, music, printables, articles, and more. It can all be a little confusing. There is another menu at the very bottom of the page (in tiny print) that allows you to select: *Free Lessons - Enjoy Spanish lessons that teach the alphabet, numbers, colors, parts of the human body, fruits, pets, bugs, geometrical shapes, holidays, and more. Click on any lesson icon and a new page opens where you can watch an animated video lesson. Be sure to turn on your speakers to hear the correct pronunciation of words as they come up on the screen. Each lesson includes a link to "Related Lessons and Activities" that provide printable worksheets to reinforce learning. *Free Activities - Click and drag Spanish words to matching pictures, play a variety of word search games, and guide a bee safely through a frog pond by unscrambling letters to spell Spanish words. *Printables - Choose from an assortment of fun printable materials that reinforce learning the lessons. There's a picture dictionary, word search puzzle, and coloring pages of farm animals, fruits, bugs, numbers, and more. *Free Dialogues - Listen to five conversations in Spanish that include introducing yourself to someone, discussing the weather, hailing a taxi, and more. Note: The "Free Games" on the menu are arcade games. They are in English and are not for foreign language practice - they are just for fun. They come with randomly generated video ads that may not be appropriate for young children. As always, parents should preview the content and supervise all Internet use. New lessons are added to the site frequently. You can subscribe to a newsletter that will update you on any new content that is added to the site, but I suggest you read the privacy policy before you subscribe.
