| Old Salem Museums and Gardens |
| Old Salem Museums & Gardens is America's most comprehensive history attraction. Their three museums - the Historic Town of Salem and the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA) - engage visitors in an educational and memorable historical experience about those who lived and worked in the early South. |

 | | Penny, Co-op Member | | A visit to Old Salem is a step back into time of a people who came to America for freedom to live and worship freely. Plan to spend the day. Stop by the Winkler Bakery for refreshments to sample authentic Moravian treats. Have lunch at the Old Salem Tavern where the food is authentic and delicious and the surroundings help you submerge yourself into Old Salem as it once was. A visit to near-by Historic Bethabara first would be an enhancement to a visit to Old Salem as Bethabara was the early Moravian settlement before Salem was established. Christmas is a special time to visit. I highly recommend it. |
