Ohio Railway Museum

Description:

Founded in 1948, The Ohio Railway Museum is one of the oldest railway museums in America. Step back in time and take a one mile demonstration ride on one of the museum's streetcars or interurbans. Trace the history of electric rail transportation and its effects on the lives and economic growth of America in the first half of the 20th century. See how the designs of the equipment differed due to the economic and geographic needs of the rail company.

Great place to explore a "traditional" method of transportation. "Guides" are polite and full of great answers for inquisitive minds. ONLY caution is that the admission prices listed are not accurate....price is $6 per person aged 4 and above, while children 3 and under are still free. BUT admission entitles you to ride the train(s) as many times as you'd like the day of your visit! Kept my kids aged 3 up to 17 ALL entertained...which is NOT an easy task with such a span of ages.
