 | | Pam M., Co-op Member | | Definitely a must if you are in the area of Cherokee! We learned so much about the Indian culture from the settlement era. Indians teach you about the housing, the ways of life, the religion of the Cherokee, the handicrafts, and how Indians trapped animals. Also there is a healing herb garden you can visit...it was closed while we were there but it sounded interesting. Lots of things to see and a nice giftshop too! The personnel are true Cherokees that live on the reservation today...they also dispel some of the myths of the Cherokee. Very educational and fun!! |
