Facility:National World War I Museum
Description:This very educational museum is divided into before America entered the war (1914-1917), and after America entered the war; (1917-1919). Before entering the exhibits you cross Flanders Field of Poppies. You can start with a 12 min video that helps you to understand the what lead to the start of the war. Many different uniforms, artillary, guns and equipment used in the war are on exhibit. There are trenches with recordings where the soldiers talk about what life was like in the trenches. A 15 min video on a large screen above a war torn site presents us with the question"Should America enter the war?" There are interactive tables and recordings of poems and readings from that time period.
