| Museum of World Treasures |
This is a fantastic museum with artifacts from ALL eras and continents. One entire floor is for American wars only. Even larger museums in Chicago and St. Louis and other large cities and their collections cannot even compare to what the Museum of World Treasures has to see!
Plan on staying several hours to see it all. It's right in the middle of Old Town, so there are plenty of places to eat and then return to the museum. If you live anywhere near the museum, purchase an annual pass, because you'll want it - especially as a homeschooler.
This is a true gem "on the prairie". |

 | | Deann L., Co-op Member | | My history loving children love this museum. I was cautious at first because it is a bit pricey, but my 13 and 11 year old found that it indeed held many treasures. The museum provided us with a scavanger hunt sheet which the kids loved finding all of the answers to. I think that the variety of artifacts helped to keep the kids interested. We also took a couple of breaks to play in the castle and with the puppet theater on the third floor. If your kids like museums or are interested in history, this museum is worth a visit. |

 | | Joe L., Co-op Member | | A very good museum. The content is excellent and my kids loved it, but the price is significant if you have a large family. You can spend all day and not repeat the same activity. They have a scavenger hunt proram that the kids (and Dad) loved. Parking can be a challenge also. The variety will interest all the kids and the play areas and theater are fun for the younger members of your crew. |
