Mosquito Hill

Description:

The Mosquito Hill Nature Center is open year round with both indoor and outdoor opportunities on 430 acres adjacent to the Wolf River. Inside are natural history displays, an art gallery, exhibit areas, an auditorium, classrooms, and a library. Outside is a butterfly house which is open July through August and an observatory that's used during scheduled events. There are also various school programs available for any grade level.

My children loved the butterfly house!!! Some of the butterflies landed right on us. It was amazing to get so close to the butterflies. We also enjoyed walking around outside and looking for caterpillers. We found lots of monarch caterpillars. We also enjoyed 2 wonderful picnics during our visit.
