My kids love this museum. There are great exhibits for kids of all ages plus IMAX movies and planetarium shows. Compared to other regional/local science museums, this one does a very good job. Additionally, their homeschool classes are excellent.

MOSI is the museum for great homeschool classes for all ages!

We make a day out of it once a month, go early in the day and explore the museum, let the kids go free at Kids in Charge, catch an IMAX, pack a lunch and eat outside at the picnic tables which are scattered throughout the grounds. And then off to class.

We were able to get a great group membership discount this year by getting together with other homeschool groups in the area. MOSI offered 50% off the normal membership so we opted to add the IMAX on as well. We are really enjoying the free IMAX movies. The added reciprocals with the membership are awesome.

I want to love MOSI...but every time we go, the Kids in Charge area is a total mess. I have tried going about once a year for the past 4 years with my girls (now ages 6 & 7) and EVERY tome the Kids in Charge area has had it's stuff thrown all over the place so that if my kids wanted to use something, we had to retrieve the pieces first. Also, the last time we went, the area where you learn about natural disasters had about half of it's demonstrations "out of order". We did LOVE the Astronomy show and the time they had a special room showing space exploration, but overall we have found it to be a disappointment.
