| Morefield Gem Mine Museum |
| The Morefield Gem Mine Museum is an exciting place for the whole family. The museum displays materials found from it's underground mining operation. There is also a display of old mining machinery and petrified wood. The museum and outdoors displays are free. For more than 70 years the mine has produced many varieties of mineral specimens and is open to the public. You may view the exhibits, visit the gift shop, or mine your own gem stones. |

 | | Shannon Harrell, Co-op Member | | This is a great place for elementary and middle aged kids. They get to dig for gems, clean them, and bring home their treasures. We got a big group of homeschoolers together and got a good discount. There is a picnic area and a cool gift shop full of gems. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. My son and his friends had a great time! |
