 | | Jill R., Co-op Member | | So interesting!! My kids really enjoyed learning about Thomas Jefferson, the part he played in American history and his many inventions. We traveled in November and I was alone with the three children. The baby started babbling and the guides were very kind to take us out of our tour group and give us a personal tour so that I would not be stressed trying to keep him quiet and the other guests could enjoy their tour without a little talker. It was really a very interesting experience with a very personal touch. |

A sunny day is best so you can enjoy the grounds part of the tour. Check at the Vistor's Center for educational brochures and don't miss eating at Michie Tavern nearby. It is authentic food prepared as it would have been in the time period. It is not cheap but worth the price. You can drink ice tea from a metal cup and the kids liked that. |

There are flower gardens and working fields. A wonderful time to visit is during the Spring when the flowers are in bloom. It is gorgeous! |
