 | | Amy G., Co-op Member | | From the moment you walk through the adult door or the child-size door you realize that the MY Museum is a wonderful, small, hands-on children's environment that strives to make learning experiences fun for children! It reflects the local area in it's beachy "soft area" for 3 years and under (through the lighthouse tunnel!)It has a 3 tee mini-golf course area complete with underground gopher holes and a golf cart photo op. Next door is an agriculture area with a ball chute, tractor, local crops you can "plant" and a market/restaurant you can sell and cook the food at! The Creation Station is my daughter's favorite stop! This area has all kinds of odds and ends available to make crafts or whatever your mind can imagine, complete with glue guns, scissors, markers, fabric, etc. A large party room can hold 20 children for a birthday or small group classes. The stage area is also a big hit with costumes, sound effects and lights. Other areas include a tree house, slide, child-size dollhouse, a fire engine, ambulance, hospital area etc. The staff are warm and welcoming and they ahve recently started offering home school group classes on a variety of topics- just check their calendar on the website for more information before you go! |
