 | | Robin H., Co-op Member | | The Mill Mountain Zoo is the ONLY zoo I have ever gone to in my entire life and I am almost 40yro. We took our son about a year ago and he LOVED it and so did I. The zoo is small, but it is breath taking. The view from the top of the mountain is so perfect. The animals are all beautiful and seem to be so content. My son and husbands favorite animals were the wolves. My favorite was probably the birds in the bird sanctuary. You can actually go inside with the birds to feed them, so awesome. One of the other things that I think we all enjoyed was the drive up the mountain, it was really nice. We are planning to go back when the temps drop just a bit. We are in Roanoke every Monday, so we will probably just go on up the mountain one day in the coming weeks. |
