| Memphis Zoo |
| The Memphis Zoo is home to more than 3,500 animals representing over 500 different species. The zoo's animal inhabitants reside in 19 exhibits in three zones, such as Northwest Passage and China, home to Giant Pandas Ya Ya and Le Le. At the Memphis Zoo, they try to connect people and animals in everything they do. Whether you're eight weeks or eighty-eight years old, there's always something new to learn at the Zoo. They have awesome programs for children, families, and even just for adults. They also have lots of things for educators to make learning more fun for their students, as well as special programs built for homeschoolers. |

 | | Danica B., Co-op Member | Our sons (8 and 6) really love this zoo. There are a great variety of animals that are spread out between indoor and outdoor enclosures. The animals all look well cared for and healthy. This is huge for us. If the animals look pitiful it just isn't right...
There are tons of little shops to look around in and they really aren't too expensive. There are also lots of little food vendors with snacks and drinks along with the restaurants. We always bring our lunch and drinks. You are allowed to bring in a stroller/wagon and we keep our lunch in a backpack, but coolers are also allowed. We have eaten at one of the restaurants. It was ok. They even had a veggie burger. :)
Huge bonus: you don't have to pay for any exhibits. |
