Description:

The mission of the Cotton Museum at the Memphis Cotton Exchange is to share the story of the cotton industry and its many influences on daily life, the arts, and the development of this region with students, residents, and visitors.

They accomplish this through interpretive exhibits, educational programs, and research archives on the floor of the historic Memphis Cotton Exchange - in the city that remains the epicenter of worldwide cotton trading.

This was an excelent field trip for our homeschool group! The kids (and parents) really learned interesting facts about the cotton industry and how the city of Memphis built it's wealth from it. The museum is located in the historical downtown area of Memphis. My 7 and 11 year old loved this field trip!! :o)
