Visiting the Museum :
Individuals, friends, and families can wander through the exhibitions on their own. Groups of fifteen or more may wish to arrange in advance for a guided tour. Plan for an hour in the galleries plus time to shop in Ohregionalities and sip on a cappuccino or enjoy lunch in The Lincoln Highway Cafe in the lobby. A visit to the Massillon Museum is free; donations are welcome.
What You’ll See :
The Museum offers changing exhibitions in the main (first-floor) gallery, sometimes featuring art, sometimes history. Second-floor permanent collection historys galleries offer a spectrum of rotating exhibits, which always include photography, sports, industry, The Immel Circus, and more. Studio M in the lower level features solo or group art shows except during the summer months
If you are looking for the unusual, the Museum Shop is the place. It offers not just handmade items but creative pieces of art. We offer for sale at reasonable prices art glass, pottery, jewelry, silk screen prints and watercolors to name a few. Books of special interest to Stark County are our specialty. We strive to offer many items which relate to our collection such as note cards and photograph reproductions. |
