Marguerite Bourgeoys-Montreal's first teacher, and one of the city's first founders–also saw to the construction of the city's first stone chapel. An archaeological site, uncovered in 1998, reveals the chapel's foundations as well as traces of earlier First Nations settlements. The belvedere and tower of the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel offer panoramic views of Montréal and its Old Port. |
