 | | Valerie D., Co-op Member | | My family and I visited the Kit Carson Home and Museum this past summer. The area, right in the middle of Taos, is beautiful for walking and parking was not difficult to find. The tour was very interesting and our tour guide is actually a descendant of Kit Carson's. Her perspective was particularly interesting and insightful. Although the home is not large, it is well stocked with period furnishings and decorations. The tour began with a film about Kit Carson (Kit was actually played by his great grandson!) The museum is lovingly kept and the knowledge of the staff makes this a wonderful and educational stop, well worth the time. |
