Have you ever met a kangaroo? Ever played a didgeridoo? Ever fed a lorikeet? You could travel 9,500 miles to Australia to do these things, or just go to Kentucky Down Under. Nestled away in south-central Kentucky sits a little piece of Australia where you'll discover a hands-on family adventure!

Kentucky Down Under offers so much more than your typical zoo. At most zoos, you walk around, see the animals in the cages, and read the signs to learn about the animals. At Kentucky Down Under, you actually get in the cages with the animals. All along the way, you'll find helpful, knowledgeable interpreters ready to tell you about the animals, and to answer your questions. Also, don t miss the breathtaking Kentucky Caverns one of the most beautiful caves in the country. Now, what are you waiting for? Get ready to explore the world of the outback at Kentucky Down Under.

All tickets include entrance to Kentucky Down Under and Kentucky Caverns. Adults= $22.00, Youth 5-14 = $13.00, and 4 & Under are free. Have special group rates, and special Homeschool Months.

April is Homeschool Month at Kentucky Down Under. In April, the educational rates are applicable to any size homeschool group.

We live close to this park and buy a Season Pass every year. My kids love to hear the Scales and Tales demonstration, where the audience learns about snakes and lizards native to Australia.

All of the staff at KDU take the time to engage their audience and answer questions. We always enjoy the kangaroo walk, the Woolshed demonstrations, the cave tour and the beautiful scenery.
