| Kennedy Space Center |
Where else in the world do history and the future, nature and technology, young and old meet for an unforgettable and inspirational journey through space and time? The Kennedy Space Center has hosted millions of guests from around the world for more than 30 years -- telling the story of how the United States built a space program that launched men to the Moon, orbited satellites that have improved our lives, and sent probes into distant space to solve the mysteries of the cosmos.

 | | Cathy U., Co-op Member | This place touches on so many aspects of education. We were able to see things teaching about the space and planets, space travel, science behind space travel, history of space exploration, astronauts, and the future of space travel.
We visited after spending some time studying the space program and touching on the planets. The best part was seeing the facts that we had learned in action and in person.
We learned so many things that were not in our study. The Imax films were not only fun for the kids but they learned things from them as well. We took tours and participated in a kids' science show. I can't say enough about the educational value of the Kennedy Space Center. |

 | | Judy Finkell, Co-op Member | | Absolutely incredible! We have been there many times. We have seen a launch up close, eaten lunch with an astronaut, went to their Homeschool Day, and the museum. My daughter was particularly impressed with the mock shuttle. I was amazed by the size of the Apollo rocket. One of the best educational experiences in Central Florida! |

 | | Nancy G., Co-op Member | This place is the BEST! The kids learn without even knowing that they are learning. They have an education building that has many resourses that you can utilize and even make copies of some of the movies.
My youngest granddaughter loves the Robot Scouts walkthru. The Imax films are my favorites along with the Saturn 5 building which has 3 films/shows through out. When you first enter the building you are in a large room with 3 movie screens which show the start of our space program (it will bring back memories if you are over 50) Then you go into the Launch facility where you experience the count down and launch of a rocket. After that, you are released into a huge room that has a Saturn rocket suspended above you. You can take as long as you like in this building. They also have a restaurant so you can have lunch and take the kids outside to run and let off some steam.
Before you leave the building be sure you catch the last show. It's the best. Takes you thru the first landing on the moon.
It is impossible to see everything in one day. We have been many time and we still see new stuff each visit.
Oh, if you go in the summer, bring towels and a change of clothes for the kids. They have installed a splash park near the rocket garden. |
