| This wildlife refuge is administered by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. The freshwater tidal marsh and other habitats have become a resting and feeding area for more than 280 species of birds, including 80 species that nest here. Fox, deer, muskrat, turtles, fish, frogs and a wide variety of wildflowers and plants call the refuge "home." Self-guided field trips are welcome. The Cusano Environmental Education Center is a green building that opened in 2001. The Center features exhibits on Tinicum Marsh, wetlands, watersheds, citizen action, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as well as a resource library. |
