There is a great variety of amazing animals to look at. I enjoy how they section the zoo off by continent. It is enjoyable to see the animals near other animals they would naturally be around.

I recommend bringing extra money with you for the extra things they charge for. Such as, riding the train around the zoo, feeding the birds (if you don t go early in the morning the birds are usually full), and the sting rays. Packing a lunch is a good way to save a few dollars and eat a much more enjoyable meal.

Hands down one of the best zoo's ever! Having moved to Jax from a major metro area with multiple zoo's- I was shocked to find that the JZ was so well established and kept. My kids have visited many zoo's and the Jacksonville Zoo is by far their favorite.
