| For those of you who wonder what math concepts your children are expected to learn by grade level in your particular state, this site delivers the answers for free. Plus, even though this is a commercial, for-pay site, it does offer 20 math practice questions for free each day. Your child can use them to practice specific math skills at the grade level that suits them best, in an interactive way |
When you get to the site, you'll see a menu of grade levels, and below it you'll see the "State Standards" menu. Simply click on the name of your state and a new page opens revealing the expectations in math proficiency by grade level.
Then, when you determine the skill and ability level of your child, return to the homepage and click on the appropriate grade level to try the free 20 math practice questions. A new page opens with a list of all kinds of math strands to try - remember you can only try 20 per day for free. Click on a strand and a new page displays the question. You will be prompted to sign in, but you can simply click on "view as guest" and avoid the registration process. Once you've completed 20 questions, you will be advised that you can access more for a fee. No worries. Simply leave the site and return the next day to access 20 more practice questions for free.
