| Description: | When Isabella Stewart Gardner first welcomed visitors to her museum in 1903, guests listened to Bach, Mozart, & Schumann and gazed in wonder at the courtyard of flowers and one of the nation's finest art collections. Today, visitors experience much the same thing. The galleries are filled with paintings, sculpture, tapestries, furniture, & decorative arts from cultures spanning thirty centuries. |
