 | | Kathy D., Co-op Member | | The Inland Seas Maritime Museum is packed full of wonderful information about the history of shipping on the Great Lakes. The exhibits are displayed very well, with detailed information. We especially liked the actual pilot house from an old ship. When standing at the pilot's wheel, we looked out the front to see Lake Erie as the pilot would have seen it. We also enjoyed the hands-on exhibits, the working model of the steam engine, and artifacts from ships that sailed the Lakes. The stories we read were fascinating. If you go there, see if you can find out where the Vermilion light house went for 60 years! |
