Peak age of enjoyment: all ages

Pros: variety of interesting permanent exhibits, excellent traveling exhibits, summer learning stations staffed by teens, knowledgeable and friendly staff, great homeschool classes and programs, IMAX movies available, McDonalds for those who need to buy lunch

Cons: expensive unless you go as part of a group

Cautions: adult supervision important, if possible adults should preview special exhibitions for content

There are amazing learning opportunities here and something for all ages. For those who will go frequently a membership is recommended. Admission for special exhibits is very expensive so if you are on a budget you will need to pick and choose the ones you want to go to. Special exhibit pricing is drastically reduced for members.
