| Houston Arboretum & Nature Center |
| The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center was founded in 1967 to introduce children to the out of doors. Today, over 10,000 children annually learn about science and the natural world at the Arboretum. The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center has created new field trip programs to provide students and teachers with hands-on outdoor Guided Field Experiences designed with a focus on TEKS objectives. The Discovery Room is filled with self-directed activities and exhibits to learn about the natural environment and compliment the Guided Field Experience. |

 | | Charlotte A., Co-op Member | | This is one of the greatest places. It is a great place to hang out with the family or take a beautiful family portrait. Make sure to check out their plant sales. These are usually held in March and April (Earth Day celebration). The prices are good and the plants are unbelievably healthy. |
