Facility:Historic Speedwell
Description:The grounds preserve a portion of the Speedwell Iron Works, including the early 1800 home of Stephen Vail. The site was where Samuel Morse conducted his first public demonstration of the telegraph. There are also several other homes and farm buildings on the grounds.

Hours:April through June
Wednesday through Saturday 10am to 5pm, Closed Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday. The last tour is at 3:30pm.

July through October
Wednesday through Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sunday 12 Noon to 5pm, Closed Monday and Tuesday. The last tour is at 3:30pm.

Closed November through March but check for a few events during Historic Speedwell's off season (i.e. Holiday program).

They also offer Home School Days (one Thursday a month when open).
